The aid is granted to in municipalities with a population of less than 5 000 inhabitants and can be a significant financial help for those who want to make their homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
Who can benefit from the aid?
There are a number of conditions attached to the scheme which are worth checking:
- The property be located in a small rural town (population under 5 000).
- The claimant must have at least one child to raise (a 12-week foetus counts as an existing child).
- Single people, cohabiting couples and married couples are all eligible.
- In the property to be renovated, the claimant(s) and child(ren) with at least 50% of ownership must have.
- 1 year of social security entitlement is required (for couples, it is sufficient if one of the parties has it).
- The claimant must have no public or tax debts exceeding HUF 5 000 (applies to both parties in couples).
- After the works are completed, the family will have live in the property for at least 5 years.
What are the conditions for applying for support?
- Under the programme, the non-repayable aid amount HUF 3 million.
- When accounting for costs half and half should include the cost of labour and materials.
- This means that the total, at least Budget of HUF 6 million needed to benefit from maximum support.
- Example: for a HUF 4.5 million work fee + HUF 1.5 million material costs, HUF 1.5-1.5 million of the HUF 3 million grant can be used.
